Please ensure you’ve discussed your comprehensive offloading plan with your product specialist.
The shipping date provided in your order email is the earliest date this order will ship from our facilities. This shipment date is not guaranteed, does not include transit days, and is not a delivery date. Your order is delayed if you do not receive a shipment confirmation and tracking email by 8 p.m. EST on the date indicated below. Most delays will only last a few days or less; however don’t hesitate to contact us for an update.
Once your order ships you will receive tracking information and your invoice via email. You must speak directly with the freight carrier’s appointment clerk when they call you to discuss delivery specifics, including the delivery date and time range of delivery. Please check your voicemail and look for unknown callers, as this may be the carrier attempting to schedule your delivery. You will have two business days to schedule and receive your order to your property or at the terminal before you are charged storage fees. Carrier terminal storage fees range from $130 to $200 per day. ABI operates independently of the freight carriers that deliver our products.
To avoid additional charges, please understand your responsibilities. Excludes UPS, FEDEX, & USPS Parcels.
The carrier will deliver your order to the end of your driveway or commercial dock. This is not a small truck. You will be responsible to offload the freight at or near the end of your driveway, where the delivery driver chooses. You will then be required to move your order from the end of your driveway to your desired location. If you do not have machinery that is capable of moving your order, you may be required to assemble your equipment and connect it to a tow vehicle at the end of your driveway. Most carriers will not drive down driveways, dirt roads, limited access areas, or private roads. If your delivery point is on a dirt, limited access, or private road / driveway or if you are unsure if the freight carrier’s truck can easily accessing the end of your driveway, please contact us immediately. ABI may need to arrange additional services or plan for an alternate delivery location. Changes in delivery plans and services may incur additional charges.
An authorized individual that is at least 18 years of age MUST be present at the time of delivery to conduct the delivery inspection and offload your order from the truck. Also, this person MUST be skilled in the operation of any machinery required to be used during the offloading process. Your order may come boxed, banded, or shrink-wrapped. You may need snips, a utility knife, work gloves, safety boots, and safety glasses available for use. Most ABI equipment requires the assistance of a forklift, tractor with front-end loader forks, skid loader with forks, a lift gate, or a wrecker service to offload. We have already discussed an offloading plan and ordered freight accessorials for you based on your direction. We have charged you for the services listed in your sales order. You may be required to pay additional charges if additional services are needed to deliver or offload your order. The driver will not assist you in unloading and you will only have a few minutes to unload the truck. Please be prepared to unload when the truck arrives to avoid the carrier charging you costly retention fees.
Upon delivery, you must thoroughly inspect your purchase for any damages or shortages (missing pieces). ABI nor the carrier will be responsible for damage or shortage if you do not indicate damage or shortage on the document the delivery driver asks you to sign (BOL). Depending on your order, this may require you to remove shrink-wrap, banding, or cardboard packaging to visibly inspect your order for damage and shortage. INSPECT THE ORDER WHILE THE TRUCK DRIVER IS PRESENT. If damage or shortage is found, you must sign the BOL as “Damage” (on the document the driver provides). If you have any questions about what constitutes damage or shortage, please call 877-788-7253 before the driver leaves.
If you selected a factory or carrier terminal pickup option, the carrier or ABI will contact you when the order becomes available for pickup. You will receive a notification with pick-up instructions, including address, hours of operation, contact names, and numbers. Please ensure your vehicle or trailer has the appropriate space, payload capacity, and equipment to legally transport your new equipment. Your order will be loaded on your truck or trailer with a forklift. However, you are responsible for supplying your own tie-down straps and securing your own load. Please be sure to inspect the tool and sign for any damages or shortages BEFORE accepting the shipment. You must note damage and shortage in the document the carrier provides you. You will have two business days to pick up your order before you are charged storage fees. Carrier terminals determine storage fees, which range from $130 to $200 per day.
